Original Oil Paintings by Judith Durr
Native Still Life, Western
Judith's inspiration and signature of painting the rug backgrounds in her still life oil paintings, was from her growing up on the Navajo Reservation in Southern Utah, Montezuma Creek.Today, most of the rugs, pottery, and jewerly used in her paintings is from Judith & her husband, Roger Kull's extensive art collection. Judith atributes Native American heritage and her interest in archeology to her exquisite oil paintings of the Native American Indian artifacts. This is Judith's primary interest in painting. Her artifacts are from as far away as South America and Canada. Preserving the legacy of each tribe and clans heitage is of utmost importance to her.
